Pumpkin Pancakes

Pumpkin Pancakes  

 1 cup flour
 Pinch baking soda
 2 tablebspoon sugar
 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
 1/8 teaspoon ginger
 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
 1 Large egg well-beaten
 1 1/4 cup milk
 2 tablebspoon melted shortening
 1/2 cup canned pumpkin    


 1. Combine flour, baking soda, sugar and spices. 

 2. Combine egg, shortening, pumpkin and milk; add to flour mixture, beating until smooth. 

 3. Bake on lightly greased hot griddle, turning only once. 

 4. Serve hot with butter and syrup or powdered sugar.
